OmniArt vs Runway pricing: plans, credits, and fit

OmniArt vs Runway is not a one-number pricing comparison. Both use credits, but a credit does not represent the same amount of generation on each platform. The practical decision is whether you need a broad multi-model creation workspace, an integrated generative editing surface, or a specific combination of models, storage, collaboration, and revision tools.

This comparison uses the public prices available on July 13, 2026. Runway can change plan allowances or model rates, so confirm the official Runway pricing page before purchasing. OmniArt prices and generation estimates are shown directly in the product before submission.

Runway states that Standard and Pro monthly credits do not roll over. Max can roll up to one month of unused credits into the following month, while separately purchased credits do not expire.

Note

Never compare “credits per month” across platforms as if the units were interchangeable. Compare the cost of the exact model, duration, resolution, audio setting, and number of attempts needed for your shot.

What one generation costs

Runway’s public pricing page lists Gen-4.5 at 60 credits for five seconds and Gen-4 Turbo at a lower per-second rate. It also lists different rates for Aleph, Seedance, image models, speech, and music. The model determines how quickly a plan allowance is consumed.

OmniArt calculates cost from the selected model and parameters. Examples from the current video lineup include:

OmniArt jobEstimated credits
PixVerse V6, 720p, 5 seconds8
PixVerse V6, 720p, 5 seconds with audio10
Seedance 2.0 Mini, 720p, 5 seconds15
Happy Horse 1.0, 720p, 5 seconds10
Grok Imagine, 720p, 10 seconds30

These examples are not quality-equivalent benchmarks. They show why the shot-level estimate matters more than the label on a subscription. A five-second draft and a final 4K shot are different budget decisions.

Where OmniArt is different

OmniArt is built around model choice across image, video, speech, sound, and music. The same account can move from GPT Image, Nano Banana, Seedream, Kling Image, or Qwen into Seedance, Gemini Omni, Happy Horse, Kling, Grok, Veo, Sora, or PixVerse video models, then continue into MiniMax, ElevenLabs, or Lyria audio workflows.

That range is useful when the difficult part changes by asset. One shot may need cheap motion testing, another stronger reference control, and another native audio or a higher resolution ceiling. You can keep the brief and production history in one workspace while changing the engine.

OmniArt is less suited to a team that specifically needs a mature footage-editing suite, timeline-style post-production, or an established developer API. Its core is prompt-first generation, model selection, credit visibility, async progress, and asset history.

Where Runway is different

Runway combines its own generative models with image, audio, and editing tools. Its public plans include editor projects, storage allowances, 4K upscaling on paid plans, and access to tools such as Gen-4.5 and Aleph. Enterprise adds organization features including SSO, workspace analytics, and configurable teamspaces.

That makes Runway attractive when generated footage must stay close to a broader editing and collaboration environment. It can also be the more direct choice when a production is standardized on a Runway model or API.

The tradeoff is not simply price. A broad tool surface can be valuable for post-production, but it can also be more than a creator needs when the job is to compare several generation engines quickly.

Compare the same production brief

Use a real shot rather than a generic feature checklist:

  1. Fix one source image or one text brief.
  2. Choose one duration and aspect ratio.
  3. Decide whether audio is generated with the video or added separately.
  4. Generate three candidates on each platform.
  5. Record total credits spent, setup time, revision time, and usable outputs.
  6. Add the cost of any external editor, voice, music, storage, or collaboration tool required to finish the asset.

The useful metric is cost per approved asset, not cost per generation. A cheap result that needs ten reruns can be more expensive than a higher-priced model that preserves the product or performance on the second attempt.

Which platform fits which job?

Choose OmniArt when:

  • you want to compare many image, video, voice, and music models;
  • you prefer prompt-first creation with a visible cost estimate;
  • different shots need different model strengths;
  • you want a unified asset history without committing to one model family.

Choose Runway when:

  • generative editing and footage transformation are central to the job;
  • you want Runway-specific models or its developer API;
  • editor projects, asset storage, or enterprise team features are important;
  • the production team already works inside Runway.

Use both when a multi-model concept phase benefits from OmniArt and the selected footage needs Runway-specific editing or delivery tools. Export boundaries, usage terms, and duplicated storage should be part of that budget.

Final recommendation

Start with a controlled brief and a monthly ceiling. If the work spans original images, multiple video engines, voice, sound, and music, test OmniArt’s creation workspace first. If the center of gravity is generative footage editing, compare the same brief in Runway and include editing time in the result.
